1. Miss Sierra Leone Limited, talks on the national Beauty pageant in Sierra Leone which is scheduled on Saturday 25th August 2018 at the prestigious Bintumani International Conference Center. The pageant selects its winner to represent Sierra Leone at the next Miss World Beauty pageant show. This event seeks to highlight and promote beauty, talent and diversity in Sierra Leone.

2.Former vice president of Sierra Leone, Victor Bockarie Foh, the former Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray and four others on Wednesday August 22nd 2018 made their first appearance in court for corruption related offences in Freetown.
They are alleged to have embezzled monies meant for Muslims to perform the 2017 Hajj in Mecca. They are charged with 8 counts of corruption and misappropriation of public funds.
